We are a spin-out from QuTech (a collaboration between Delft University of Technology and TNO) based in Delft, a historical city in The Netherlands located between The Hague and Rotterdam.
With a dedicated team of scientists, engineers and developers we are pushing quantum technology to support experimentalists worldwide with our scalable and low-latency qubit control and readout equipment (from ultrastable DC to 18.5 GHz, for academic and industrial quantum labs). In addition to scalable control hardware, we have created state-of-the-art control software – Quantify, an open-source python framework that can be used to control quantum computers and experimental setups.
Internship title – Scalable Control of a diamond based Quantum Internet
Qblox participates in multiple projects that have the goal of creating networks of entangled nodes across multiple cities. Within these projects, Qblox will develop and deliver the hardware needed to generate the electrical signals (0-18 GHz) required for qubit control, photon detection and classical data links for network protocols (long-distance, low-latency). To kick-start this endeavour we are connecting the Qblox control stack to experimental setups with NV-centers in diamond.
As an intern, you will be part of the team involved in this project by developing the needed software and performing the experiments in the lab. You could as well have a role in the documentation and communication of the results of the project by co-writing an application note.
For this internship, we are looking for someone with:
- a BSc or MSc in Physics with a background in quantum physics or quantum engineering and experience in experimental research,
- great communication skills,
- a hands-on mentality in making experimental setups work,
- programming skills in Python
